They facilitate quick coupling of torches or other welding devices with a welding regulator or gas source by means of welding hoses.

They are equipped with:

• pollution filters (for inflammable gases) – they separate impurities contained in gases, protect quick-release couplings and working tools, prolong the life cycle of a coupling and enhance the welding process quality;
• check valves – protecting against results of explosive gas mixture accumulation in gas installations (return flow of gases);

• cut-off valves – they prevent uncontrolled gas outflow and facilitate immediate disconnection of hoses as well as changeover of a welding station without the necessity of closing a gas supply.

SZP-F and SZP-O type quick-release couplings are manufactured according to ISO 7289 and have all applicable decisions of the Polish Welding Centre of Excellence in Gliwice no. 3/ZL/A-4/91
